Microsoft makes Office 2016 public preview available for download

Microsoft has made a public preview of Office 2016, the latest version of its productivity suite, available as a free download for Windows users.

Key new features include tighter cloud integration across the entire suite, support for real-time collaborative editing in Word 2016, and a Clutter folder that holds low-priority emails in Outlook 2016.

Office 2016 can be downloaded here, although Office 365 subscribers will have to install it through their account management portal. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the suite are available. Users will however have to uninstall Office 2013 before installing the Office 2016 Preview.

Office 2016 will be available this Spring. Office 365 subscribers will receive the suite as a free upgrade, but the software will also be sold as a standalone product.
