As for other Microsoft-related news, the company has finally acknowledged the Blue codename for the upcoming update to its operating system. The statement was made in the Official Microsoft blog where the company said that they are working on plans to advance their devices and services, a set of plans which are referred internally as Blue.

However, Microsoft was also quick in saying that it is very unlikely that the new update will be named Windows Blue and that the codename won’t be a consumer facing-term. In any case, any plans by the Redmond company is sure to manifest in a variety of products as the company is said to have a fundamental shift in their core businesses as a software company to a devices and services company.
