Sony’s new VAIO YA Series is a notebook designed for powerful computing on the go, claims the company.   

Weighing 1.46 kg, the VAIO YA Series is a portable notebook, which is designed for travel. It features a 11.6-inch wide 1366 x 768 LED backlit display and an Ultra Low Voltage Intel Core i3 processor, for everyday tasks – from internet browsing to preparing business documents, to managing your music or photo library. The VAIO YA Series’ low power consumption also delivers performance while maximising battery life, says Sony.

The YA Series is designed with an isolated and recessed keyboard for easier and quicker typing – even for those with long fingernails. Sitting lower than the palm rest, the keyboard allows the user’s hands to sit in a more neutral position and type comfortably for longer periods

Featuring a HDMI output, the VAIO YA Series connects to most HD TV or projector for large screen viewing, meaning users can share holiday photos with family and friends or run a presentation at a client’s office.  

The VAIO YA Series also comes with the intuitive ‘ASSIST’ button, which takes users directly to VAIO Care software for basic assistance and troubleshooting tasks.
