Live someone else’s life – through their eye

A San Francisco artist wants to replace her missing eyeball with one that can function as a webcam.

Tanya Vlach, who lost her eye in a car accident, made an appeal through her blog to have engineers build a minitaure webcam.

Her requests include 3X optical zoom, support for a 4GB SD card, the ability to take still photos and Bluetooth capability for the bionic eye.

The eye could be charged via a wireless charger, and would allow other people to live her life from her point of view.

Existing comments from readers have pointed out that the technology to make Vlach’s request is available today.
