LG says “out with the old” as it finally brings 4K OLED TVs to Australia

LG's 4K OLED TVs have a 30,000 hour screen life, the equivalent of eight of hours of daily viewing for ten years.

Australia was original scheduled to receive one of LG's earlier 4K OLED models – the EC970T – at the end of last year, but it was delayed indefinitely due to international demand. The displays utilised in the EC970T series and the EG960T series are identical according to LG, but the physical design has been given a new look and the preinstalled software has been upgraded.

The 55-inch 55EG960T will retail for AUD$5,999 and the 65-inch 65EG960T will retail for AUD$9,999. Both will be available in select Harvey Norman stores from this week. Distribution will ramp up in the coming months, and stock will be made available via other retailers.
