While brands such as Samsung and Sony took the relatively low profile approach at this year’s Mobile World Congress by introducing one or two devices, LG took a different route by announcing not just one product but an entire product line that consists of entry level phones up to high-end devices.

At the top of the list is the company’s current flagship device – the LG Optimus G Pro. This premium handset sports a 5.5-inch True HD-IPS+ LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Its internal memory is at 32GB and can be expanded through a microSD card slot.

The phone supports LTE, has a 13 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. It will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is expected to hit the shelves by Q2 2013.

Next in line are the Optimus F7 and Optimus F5. Both phones will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will have dual-core processors, and 8GB of on-board storage. As the name implies, the F7 will be the more powerful phone between the two. Having said this, the F7 will have an 8MP camera instead of the 5MP one found in the F5.

It will also get a 2GB worth of RAM in contrast to the F5’s 1GB RAM. Moreover, the F7 will have a slightly larger screen at 4.7 inches compared to the 4.3-inch IPS LCD on the F5.

Then there’s the LG Optimus L-series with the L3 II, L5 II and L7 II. Geared towards the mid-range to entry level consumer groups, the L series are the company’s line of dual-SIM phones. Screen sizes are at 4.3 inches for the L7 II, and 4.0 inches and 3.2 inches for the L5 II and L7 II respectively.

And just like the F-series, the specs for each phone is upgraded a notch higher as you move from L3 II to L7 II. The camera for example starts at 3.15MP for the L3 II and goes to 8MP for the L7 II.

Last but definitely not the least is the LG Optimus Vu II. Unlike other 5-incher devices, the Optimus Vu II has a wide form factor. It has 16GB of on-board storage and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor complimented by 2GB of RAM.

There’s an 8MP camera at the back with autofocus and LED flash which is also capable of capturing 1080p videos. The phablet will run 4.0.4 Ice Cream sandwich and will be available probably before the end of March 2013.
