LG Gets Rocked

Consumer tech giant LG has decided to go back to school

LG Electronics has decided to boost its profile in the youth market by supporting this year’s Boost Mobile Rock the Schools tour.

LG has come on board this year as the official mobile phone handset sponsor of the event, which travels to 70 regional and metropolitan High Schools across Australia, giving students a free education on the diverse range of careers within the music industry, plus a lunch time rock concert. Three Australian independent bands, The Take, Stone Parade and Claire Clarke, will be this year’s performers.

The 15 week tour kicks off on Monday 4 May in Melbourne and LG will be promoting its KS360 Webslider handset.

“We are very excited to be aligned not only with this event but also with Boost Mobile as they help position our youth-oriented products to the youth market,” said Nathan Dunn, General Manager Mobile Communications, LG Electronics Australia.

Former Midnight Oil front man and Federal Minister for the Arts, Peter Garrett, is the official Patron, drawing on his experience and knowledge of the music industry to inspire Australia’s youth.

Since 2006, Boost Mobile Rock the Schools has successfully toured over 170 schools.
