LG G Flex Goes Official

LG today officially announced its G Flex smartphone with curved display in Korea.  The smartphone features a 6.0-inch OLED that bends at the horizontal axis. LG today officially announced its G Flex smartphone with curved display in Korea.  The smartphone features a 6.0-inch OLED that bends at the horizontal axis.

There’s also a “self-healing” film at the back at the device that allows the phone to deal with minor scratches on its back in a matter of minutes. The LG G Flex is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip with a 2.26GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in memory that can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

The smartphone also comes with a 13MP camera at the back and a 2.1MP at the front. Moreover, the G Flex packs LTE-A for Korea, Bluetooth, FM Radio, A-GPS and a 3500mAh battery.

The LG G Flex will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with LG’s proprietary UI. The handset is currently available in all three major carriers in Korea next month. There’s no word yet on pricing or international availability.
