LG Electronics Australia today announced that their highly anticipated Curved OLED TV (55EA9800) will soon be available in the country. The TV was first introduced at this year’s CES and was first showcased in Australia at the LG Home Entertainment range launch back in May.

The curved OLED TV will be available for sale in September alongside LG’s newest range of Ultra HDTVs. The range will include a new 55-inch and 65-inch versions of the company’s successful 84-inch UHDTV that launched in October 2012. The two TVs offer the same immersive experience as the 84-inch model, with sharp images and colour contrast.

“LG continues to drive innovation in the TV sector. We are leaders in next generation display technology, and leaders lead. We are delighted to now be able to expand on the Ultra HDTV range to a total of three Ultra HTDTV models. These two new additions will join the Ultra HDTV range and will transform the cinema experience for Australians.” – Lambro Skropidis, Marketing General Manager for LG Australia.

LG plans to release additional details including specifications, pricing and availability for LG’s curved OLED TV, and the 55-inch and 65-inch UHDTVs next week.
