Lenovo has just announced its newest ThinkPad laptops that is said to provide user with up to 17 hours of battery life.
This feat is accomplished with the use of swappable battery technology, aided by Intel’s fourth generation i7 processors, and is found in its new enterprise 14-inch T440s and T440 models. The new models are 20% thinner than previous ThinkPads, sports a 45% larger trackpads that support Windows 8 gestures, and can be fitted with a smart card reader for security.
Users can choose to equip the laptops with full-HD display, 1TB HDD, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and an option for 4G connectivity.
For those looking for an even smaller notebook, Lenovo is also putting in the mix the new ThinkPad X240, ThinkPad S440 and ThinkPad S540 Ultrabooks. The X240 comes with a backlit keyboard and a 12.5-inch Full HD display (with optional touch), while the S440 and S540 has a 14-inch and 15-inch display respectively.
The S440 can be equipped with 8GB of RAM while the S540 will give users the option of 16GB. Both feature full HD anti-glare touchscreens, which can be boosted by HD 8670M graphics with 2GB of RAM.
There’s no word on geographical availability yet, but in terms of price, the notebooks will be available starting this month for AU$1011.28 for the S440, while the rest of the notebooks will be available by October.
