Just last Monday, reports came in that Microsoft is reportedly prepping the release of the next version of its operating system – Windows 9 at the company’s annual BUILD developer conference in April. But before the great reveal is done, another set of rumours have hinted that the Redmond company may release another update for its current OS probably in a few months.

Russian tipster Wzor has published on his blog screenshots of a new build of Windows 8.1 that shows some of its new features including a start button, the ability to pin store apps on the taskbar and the ability to close metro apps in a similar manner when closing apps on the desktop.

Although such new features aren’t that ground-breaking, it’s a clear indication on how Microsoft is planning to move forward with its OS. Windows 8 has always been criticized for its user interface, which some experts say is one of the main reasons why a lot of consumers are not that too keen on upgrading or adopting the system.
