Korg is bringing the legendary sound of its 1978 MS-10 analogue synthesiser to the Nintendo 3DS this September.

Korg's DSN-12 app will emulate the iconic sound of the MS-10, and offers 12 monophonic synthesisers, that can be further fine-tuned through effects such as delay, chorus, flanger, compressor kick and reverb. Compositions can be constructed from up to 64 different patterns, each with up to 64 "steps" or beats. Users will be able to share compositions locally through the 3DS' inbuilt WiFi. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Korg's MS-10 synthesiser is used by artists such as Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Skylab and Juan Atkins.
