We won’t be seeing the new iTunes 11 until the end of November as Apple takes its time doing the overhaul.
The new iTunes was announced alongside the iPhone 5 on September 12 and Apple initially pegged an October launch.
Apple has yet to explain the delay but it would be fair to speculate that the recent management shake-up may be to blame.
"The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right," Apple spokesman Tom Neuymar said in a statement.
"We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November."
The new update promises a full-window interface, new library view, new MiniPlayer, Facebook integration, iCloud integration and no more Ping.
