Is that a charger in your pants?

In collaboration with Nokia, British designer Adrian Sauvage has created the first ever pair of wireless charging trousers. Through the use of inductive charging technology, these "smart trousers" or "smart pants" will charge Lumia devices as they sit in a user's pocket.

In collaboration with Nokia, British designer Adrian Sauvage has created the first ever pair of wireless charging trousers. Through the use of inductive charging technology, these "smart trousers" or "smart pants" will charge Lumia devices as they sit in a user's pocket. The same technology is featured in Nokia's DC-50 wireless charging plate, a portable wireless charger.

Aside from their high tech charging technology, Sauvage's pants, are traditional no-nonsense black chinos. It seems a pair of smart trousers certainly won't garner as much attention as a smart watch.

Sauvage created the trousers for the 2014 London Collections fashion show, focusing on the "Modern Man". But despite being a catwalk showpiece, Nokia reports that these pants will be available to purchase through Amazon's online store "soon".
