Is Japan Starting To Recover?

News out of Japan suggests that one of the countries hardest hit by the economic downturn, might be starting to get back on its feet again.

Japan was one of the countries whose economy almost nose-dived when the credit crises reared it head at the end of 2007. 2008 was a particularly bad year as most of the big consumer technology companies made multi-billion dollar loses and the country’s economic began to retract.

However, the Japan Times is reporting that Panasonic is starting to ramp up production again of its flat panel televisions due to high domestic demand.

They company is now producing 940,000 42-inch panels, up from 785,000 not so long ago as peoples’ old sets start to die.

The company is set to open a third new plant in Amagasaki inJanuary next year.
