Spanish gadget website TecMundo have gotten their hands on a photo seemingly confirming the Samsung Galaxy Alpha's existence, as well as detailing its specifications.

It appears the Galaxy Alpha will pack the following internals:
A 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Display
A 12 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel front camera
2 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of internal storage
A 1,860 mAh battery (marked TBD)
A heart rate monitor, finger print sensor, nano SIM slot, USB 3.0 and 4G

The Galaxy Alpha will also feature a proprietary octocore CPU and run Android 4.4. These specs peg the iPhone-inspired metal smartphone as a mid-level handset, rather than a flagship as previously rumoured.

In addition, photos have emerged on social media from an event promoting the Galaxy Alpha in Russia. Reports suggest that neither a sale date or price point was provided. It is expected that Samsung will officially announce the phone by the end of the week.
