At around 8 a.m. Friday, Apple Stores in Australia has started dispensing the next generation iPhone 5 to kick off the global sales route of the new phone from Apple that begin Sept. 21. This time around, Apple is seen likely to surpass all the rest of its iPhone launch records in its books.

Known for attracting huge hordes of people encamping outside its stores, an Apple event like this is just one example just how much Apple developed deep attachment among its loyal followers who are also known as Apple fan boys.

Even before the 10-second countdown before the sale of the iPhone, micro-blogging Twitter was also shining bright with tweets from people widely anticipating the opening of Apple stores in Sydney.

Some tweets come with photos attached showing the long lines of people waiting to get their hands on the new device. A store of mobile phone carrier Telstra across the street was also spotted with people piling up for the iPhone 5.

Pre-order sales of the iPhone 5 already shoot up to two million within 24 hours after Apple introduced the new smartphone device a week ago.

Then prior to the iPhone 5 launch today, the company has also timed the release of its new operating system iOS 6 on September 19.

After Australia, the phone sale will follow the route of Japan, then Hong Kong and Singapore before entering the shores of Europe. The United Kingdom, France and Germany will be among the first to see the new product going on sale before U.S. and Canada a little later to round off the first day of sales.

Twenty two more countries will get their taste of the new iPhone next week.
