Another beta version of iOS 7 is now available via Apple’s developer website and it brings some interesting new things into the table.

The new version is said to have improved phone call and answer buttons with codes that now have clearer instructions on how to answer or avoid a call. Other notable improvements in this build include a new search bar in the Reminders app, new icons for AirPlay, top level HDR function for camera, Q&A feature for Siri and new notifications for completed uploads.

However, one of the most interesting finds in this version of iOS 7 is a folder named “BiometricKitUI.axbundle”, which includes code strings detailing how a sensor in the home button of the device will be used as a fingerprint scanner for user identification.

The code doesn’t provide any information on if the code will be implemented in future versions of the iPhone. It also doesn’t provide details if the scanner would serve other function (such as mobile payment in the form of virtual wallet) aside from user identification.

But since the build is just in beta, there’s still a good chance that a lot of things will change. But in any case, we’ll be sure to update everyone once the final version of the operating system comes out of beta.
