Microsoft has released a new beta version of Internet Explorer 8, available for download to the general public. The new browser version is said to enhance privacy, ease of use and security.

The browser will include a smart address bar, that remembers sites previously visited and a new mode called InPrivate browsing which automatically removes browser history, internet files and cookies from the machine.

Microsoft also updated already announced features such as “Activities,” which allows a user to use information found on one page, such as an address, in conjunction with an online service such as mapping without leaving the original site.
