Intel Corporation today announced that the new Samsung galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch will now be powered by an Intel processor. Specifically, the device will have an Intel Atom Z2560 processor (codenamed Clover Trail+) and a XMM 6262 3G modem solution or the XMM 7160 4G LTE solution.

The Intel Atom SoC platform is designed and optimised for a lightning-fast applications experience, web browsing, stunning 3D graphics, advanced camera capabilities and vivid HD video with energy efficiency for outstanding battery life. With these chips, Android tablets can now provide double the computing performance and 3x graphics capabilities with competitive battery life compared to the previous-generation Intel Atom processors platform.
