IFA or the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin is one of the oldest and most well-known industrial exhibitions in Europe, which features the latest and most trending products and technology from different consumer electronics manufacturers all over the world.

And for the past 60 years or so, IFA has become the place where new products and innovations are debuted for the world to see, and this year is no exception. In fact, we are already seeing announcements from different brands of their upcoming devices even before the actual event kicked off a few hours ago.

And to help you out, here is a quick list of the things we are expecting to see at the event.

SAMSUNG

A lot of people are actually looking forward to what the Korean manufacturer will unveil tomorrow at its keynote for this year’s exhibition. Two of the safest bets for what Samsung has in its sleeves include a new phablet and a smartwatch.

Of course, if you’ve been following our website, you would know that the Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to make its debut this week. So far, the rumours and various leaks about the handset suggest that the phablet will sport at the very least a 5.6-inch screen with Full HD resolution, 3GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, and a 13MP camera at the back with support for 4K video capture.

Also on Samsung’s plate this year is its highly anticipated smartwatch dubbed as the Galaxy Gear. A few days ago, VentureBeat was able to get their hands on a prototype unit of the purported gadget, so by tomorrow, we’re expecting to get the official word about this device.

ACER and ASUS

Another name in the tech space that made a number of announcements this week is Acer. Yesterday, the Taiwanese manufacturer announced its newest 10-inch Android tablet – the Iconia A3 and a number of AIO computers including the 24-inch DA241HL model powered by Android.

Acer also announced a smartphone yesterday – the Acer Liquid S2. At first glance, the Liquid S2 looks like just another phablet out there but what sets it apart from its competitors is its ability to support 4K video recording.

Asus on the other hand has released a number of teaser images on its official Facebook page. The company is expected to unveil a new 10-inch tablet that sports the new Nvidia Tegra 4 processor as well as a refresh to its line of Zenbook Ultrabooks.

LG and SONY

LG on the other hand has just unveiled its newest Android tablet – the G Pad 8.3 earlier this week. The G Pad will be powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Meanwhile, Sony is expected to officially announce its QX10 and QX100 Lens kit at the event. First leaked by SonyAlphaRumors.com, the two lenses are designed to snap on a compatible smart device and turn any smartphone or tablet into a powerful image capturing device.
