  • 8 megapixel camera
  • 1080p video capture
  • Powerpoint editing software

Huawei has launched a dual-core smartphone – the Ascend P1 – a slim smartphone that delivers speed, power and functionality, claims the Chinese-based manufacturer.

It comes in a 7.69mm body that fits into the palm of your hand, and has a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and an 8MP high dynamic range camera with flash and HD video.

It also features a high-speed dual-core 1.5G Cortest-A9 processor, providing users with the fastest multi-tasking, video replay and gaming experience in its class, claims Huawei.

A 8MP BSI rear-facing camera with auto-focus and 1080p video capture makes the Ascend P1 suitable for recording life’s best moments in hi-resolution detail. The dual flash LED and HDR effect optimisation will capture every detail in any environment.

The unit’s Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus delivers 5.1 surround sound experience, and when it’s time to mix business with pleasure, the Ascend P1 also features software for editing PowerPoint and PDF documents.
