The launch of HTC’s flagship M7 Android smartphone is already pegged to happen during a media event taking place on February 19, but it looks as though the M7 may not be alone and may be joined by two new devices called the M4 and G2 that could either be unveiled at the February 19 event or during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month.

The M4 is described as another premium device coming from HTC though a step lower when compared with the leaked specs attributed to the M7. The HTC M4 reportedly comes with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 4.3-inch screen, a 13-megapixel camera, a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1,700mAh battery and will come with Android Jelly Bean installed.

The HTC G2′s specs hint at an entry-level Android device as it’ll have a 1GHz processor, a 3.5-inch display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera, a 1,400mAH battery and will come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich installed. HTC thought it’s wise to use Android Ice Cream Sandwich on the G2 but it is unclear for now if the meagre hardware features will allow for a future jump to JellyBean.

The G2's camera prowess is similar to that of the ageing Samsung Galaxy Ace at 5MP minus the front cam capability. Battery is only 1400mAh.

According to reports, no word yet on when exactly the M4 and the G2 will come out but blog reports suggested a higher likelihood that the handsets' availability should follow a few months after the purported March 8 commercial release of the M7.
