HTC has just announced the HTC Desire 600, the dual-SIM and cheaper alternative to the company’s current flagship device – the HTC One.

The Desire 600 shares similar design elements as its bigger brother and was designed to bring many of the One’s premium features at a lower price point. The Desire 600 dual-SIM runs Android Jelly Bean (probably version 4.1) with Sense 5 on top, which includes the HTC BlinkFeed screen that pulls information from a user’s social networking accounts and other media sources.

The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 200 chipset which sports a 1.2GHz quad-core processor complemented by 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 203 GPU. It also packs a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 screen with qHD resolution sandwiched by HTC’s BoomSound speakers.

The HTC Desire 600 has a 1.6MP front-facing camera and an 8MP snapper at the back that is capable of capturing videos at 30 frames per second. Of course the phone will have the usual package of smartphone features including 3G with HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC and GPS.

The device will be available early next month (pricing to be announced) with the first units to ship first to Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East.
