The global roll out of HTC’s newest flagship model – the HTC One has been pushed back to late March and early April according to reports.

According to reports, HTC stated that they will start fulfilling pre-orders by end of March in certain markets and will roll out to more markets as they approach April. This report was later on confirmed by UK retailer Clove saying that they have been advised by HTC that the UK launch date for the HTC One has been put back to the 29th March.

The only exception to this statement is O2 who is now shipping the phone in Germany. HTC did not provide any information on what caused the delay but sources hinted that the cause of issue was most probably about a shortage in the phone’s components including its signature ultrapixel camera module.

Nonetheless, the delay will mean that the launch of the HTC One will take place right after the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S IV tomorrow which will effectively cut HTC’s supposed head start over Samsung.
