If the HTC One M8 is still a bit short on specs for your taste, HTC might have something in the future that will fulfil your needs.

According to a recent report, the Taiwanese smartphone-maker is currently working on the successor of the HTC One Max from last year. Dubbed as The Prime, the handset will have a 5.5-inch QHD display with a pixel density of 534ppi.

The phone’s guts include a Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core Krait CPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.

The HTC One M8 Prime is also expected to have a multimode modem capable of improved carrier integration. It will also have the same dual-camera setup found on the One M8 (unlike the rumoured One M8 Mini). The main camera at the back will have an 18MP sensor while the secondary camera will get a 5MP sensor.

HTC is expected to announce the handset by September. There are no clues yet on pricing of the handset, but with Prime as a name and being HTC-made, we do expect premium pricing for this handset.
