HTC just announced a refresh of its 5-inch phablet with the HTC Butterfly S.

The HTC Butterfly S packs the same 5-inch Full HD Display as its predecessor and has almost the same pixel density at 440 pixels per inch. The phone has 16GB of internal storage with support for a microSD card up to 64GB.

As with the original Buttefly, the Butterfly S will have a Qualcomm Chip, specifically a Snapdragon 600 chip with a 1.9GHz quad-core Krait processor complemented by 2GB of RAM and 25GB of free cloud storage for two years.

The Butterfly S will also have the same UltraPixel camera as the HTC One. It sports a 1/3” BSI sensor size with a 2.0 micron pixel size and wide F/2.0 aperture. The phone will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Sense UI 5 on top with HTC Zoe and HTC Share.

The phone will be powered by a 3200mAh battery and will be available in red, white and grey starting in Taiwan for around US $766 in July with other markets expected to follow.
