HP Unveils ZBook, Makes Workstations More Mobile

HP today announced the HP ZBook series – the world’s first workstation Ultrabook and the first workstation to sport Intel’s Thunderbolt technology for high-speed data transfer.

The HP ZBook series includes the ZBook 14 as well as the HP ZBook 15 and 17. The ZBook mobile workstations now feature a thinner and lighter design and now sports fourth generation Intel Haswell dual- and quad-core processor options as well as graphics technologies from Nvidia and AMD.

All Zbook Mobile Workstations boasts innovative tool-free chassis for easy upgrades and serviceability. In terms of display, users will be given an option to have a touch-enabled panel for the Zbook 14 while the Zbook 15 will have an option for a super high-resolution QHD (3200 x 1800) display.

The Zbook 15 and 17, on the other hand features a Thunderbolt port and an optional DreamColor display panel that provides accurate and consistent colours from the display to print and the big screen.

The HP ZBook Mobile Workstations 15 and 17 are now available worldwide for US$1899 and US$1999 respectively, while the ZBook 14 will be available in late October.
