With gaming on the lips of all the notebook manufacturers, even HP is trying their hand at the difficult gamer market.

Italian -based website, Notebook Italia, recently leaked pictures of some ASUS notebooks, structured around Intel’s Santa Rosa platform. Since this is Intel’s fourth generation of the Centrino platform, most new laptops will feature this system. According to Notebook Italia, the Pavilion HDX is the first offspring from the HP-Voodoo PC alliance.

When it comes to processing power and features, the Pavilion HDX will have it all. The Pavilion HDX will also feature an ATSC/NTSC tuner onboard and HDMI out. There is still no word on what optical drive will be used by the Pavilion HDX, but expect to see either a Blu-ray or HD DVD unit onboard.
