Lately we’re seeing a lot of laptops use different designs that involve the use of hinges that allow such devices to be used in a different manner compared to conventional notebook computers.
And this trend seems to be making a leap to the desktop as HP has just announced that the HP Envy Recline series of AIOs that allows users to pivot the entire touchscreen over the edge of a desk into the user’s lap. The device uses an articulating stand, which gives the PC different modes to fit certain situations.
The Envy Recline is available in 23 and 27-inch version and will be available with a mix of Haswell processors, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. There’s going to be 1GB of Nvidia GT 720A GPU, Beats Audio and 1080p displays.
Both models will have 802.11ac Wi-Fi, with the 27-inch version packing NFC. HP will also be throwing 50GB worth of lifetime storage through Box.com. There’s also going to be a Beats-branded red version, which will have a 23-inch display and will feature an Intel i3 CPU and less RAM.
The HP Envy Recline will be available on HP’s website starting tomorrow with the 23-inch version retailing for $1349 while the Recline 27 will sell for $1399 and up.
