Here’s Arlo’s new security camera system

Arlo has announced its latest internet-enabled security cameras, dubbed the Arlo Pro 3.

The new cameras feature 2K resolution, an integrated spotlight, and a wide 160-degree field of vision. At night, the Arlo Pro 3 system can even record in colour vision, which will help with picking out details in security footage.

As with earlier Arlo cameras, the Pro 3 can mount with either a hassle-free magnetic mount, or a more permanent screw system. Once installed, the Arlo Pro 3 will help secure your home with automatic video recording triggered manually or automatically via movement sensing, two-way audio for yelling at intruders or communicating with the postie, along with an inbuilt siren and spotlight.

The cameras come with a three-month trial of Arlo Smart, which provides users with rolling recordings spanning 30 days with cloud storage. All of the security features are controlled via a mobile app, to which the cameras can send notifications when they sense movement.

The Arlo Pro 3 packages start at $949 for the basic kit with two cameras and the base station, while additional camera packages start at $419. Arlo Pro 3 releases locally in early October.
