Google is reportedly making a note-taking application that might rival other popular note-taking apps such as Evernote.
The new app that is called Google Keep has apparently been discovered in numerous places in the internet where Google hides the products it’s currently working on. These include the Google Products page, Google Drive, and as part of the company’s sandbox where it tries out new products.
According to those who briefly used the app, Google keep functions similarly to the company’s defunct Google Notebook as it offers list of notes, tools to color-code notes, make checklists and save important photos.
An Android app may also be in the works as evidenced by a certain URL of the app that redirects to Google Play. Another clue that points to the development of the app was seen a few months ago in a Google+ post where in an “Add to Google Keep” link was spotted.
However, Google was quick to respond when it immediately pulled the app shortly after a number of people have discovered it.
