Google made a statement today that its much anticipated Glasses are now rolling off the assembly line. The company has also released the gadget’s technical specification through a post on Google’s support page.

The HUD will have a 5-megapixel camera that can capture 720p videos. It will also have a 16GB flash storage synced with Google cloud storage, 12GB of which will be usable. The headset will also feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and will come pre-installed with The MyGlass companion app that will support GPS and SMS messaging when paired with Android 4.0.3 devices or higher.

The Glass will also have adjustable nosepads and durable frame that fits any face, extra nosepads in two sizes and an included micro USB cable and charger. The battery on the device is expected to last for at least one full day of typical use.

The high-resolution display on the Glass is equivalent to a 25-inch high-definition screen from eight feet away. In addition to the announcement, the Glass Companion app for android and the web-based setup wizard for the device are now live.

The $1,500 HUD will first be handed down to people in the Glass explorer list who signed up for the device in last year’s Google I/O. Google also said that they won’t be able to send out units for everyone in the list so they’ll instead notify people in waves as soon as additional units are produced.
