Google have announced a beta version of their Adsense program – Adsense in Games – which will target online gamers.

The technology is designed to put relevant advertising links in Web-based games by targeting ads at teenage boys and young men interested in sports and action games. The ads would play out as videos that gamers watch before or after a game, or after completing a level.

Google bought Adscape Media, a small in-game advertising company, in early 2007, less than a year after Microsoft Corp. bought in-game ad company Massive Inc.
