Google Nexus 6 gets Australia pricing

Google today revealed the Australian pricing for its 6-inch Nexus 6 phablet; the 32GB model will retail for AUD$869, while the 64GB model will retail for AUD$929. The Nexus 6 is not yet available to purchase, but customers who buy their Nexus 6 before December 31 will be receive 6 months of unlimited music on Google Play.

At 5.96-inches, the Motorola-manufactured Nexus 6 is the biggest smartphone either Google or Motorola have made. The phablet boats a Quad HD screen, a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, and a 3200mAh battery.

Aesthetically, the Nexus 6 looks like a larger version of Motorola's current flagship, the Moto X. It shares many of the same design traits, including a ring flash around the rear camera, a similar metal trim and a dimpled Motorola logo. The phablet's two cameras are also very similar; a 13 megapixel shooter with Optical Image Stabilisation on the back, and a 2 megapixel camera on the front.
