Google is giving its mobile map app a major boost, now allowing Street Views from any smartphone browser.

Google’s confirmation of this could not come more timely, especially considering all the fuss around the new maps on the iPhone 5.

Google and Apple failed to reach an agreement for the inclusion of turn-by-turn voice navigation in iOS. Hence, Apple decided to go forth on its own and create its own mapping software from scratch.

This change on the iOS 6 brought in a lot of uproar, even prompting CEO Tim Cook to apologise for the numerous issues frustrating some customers.

The new Street View will allow users to move along roads, explore areas at the street level and even venture inside some buildings. The addition displays 360-degree photographic street views of selected locations and interior photographic views of certain businesses.
