Garmin introduces the Approach S2 wristwatch for golfers.
The Approach S2 comes preloaded with over 30,000 courses worldwide and is ready to use right out of the box without any subscription or fees. The wristwatch is able to measure distances to the front and middle of the green and features layup and dogleg distances at a glance.
The S2 is available in different colour options (including white/grey, black/red, purple/white). It also features an odometer for golfers who walk the course. Although it just weighs approximately 51 grams, the S2 is rugged, durable and waterproof (up to 10m). It is also flexible, thanks to its removable bands that let provides an enhanced fit and easy replacement for a personalised look to suit any taste.
Moreover, the S2 also offers lifetime course updates without subscription or additional fees as well as a digital scorecard feature that allows scores to be saved, viewed and analysed via Garmin’s web based program.
As a watch, the S2 features automatic time and date and an alarm. It also has a rechargeable lithium ion battery that ensures the watch will still be useful after using all of its extra features for golfing. The S2 will be available April 2013 and has a recommended retail price of $299.
