Fujifilm Introduces S8400W Bridge Camera

Japanese multinational photography and imaging company Fujifilm introduces the S8400W Bridge Camera which features 44x optical zoom.

Japanese multinational photography and imaging company Fujifilm introduces the S8400W Bridge Camera which features 44x optical zoom.

The S8400W features a precision 44x optical long zoom Fujinon lens with an improved CMOS sensor, advanced processing power and optics to give consumers a great combination of photographic versatility in an easy-to-use and compact design.

The camera also sports wireless connectivity which means that users can transfer images and videos straight from the camera to smartphones, tablets and computers. The S8400W also boasts a fast starting aperture of f/2.9 at the widest point of the lens and up to f/6.5 at the telephoto end. The lens of the camera features 17 elements in 12 groups and combines aspherical and ED elements to help reduce vibrations.

In terms of speed, the S8400W’s 16MP 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor is included with sensitivity up to ISO 12800. Autofocusing is achieved in under 0.3 seconds and there’s a 0.5 second interval between shots. The S8400W is also capable of recording Full HD video, with the ability to capture movies at 60fps with stereo sound and slow-motion capture at 480fps.

The camera also features a bright 3.0-inch 460k-dot LCD screen, a super macro mode, manual exposure controls, dual zoom controls, advanced filters and an instant zoom and zoom bracketing functions.

The Fujifilm S8400W will be powered by four AA alkaline batteries with an approximate 300 shot battery life. It will be available by May 2013 at the price of US$349.95.
