Free Internet Channel for Wii

Nintendo announces that the Internet Channel for Wii, will now be available to download for free.

Trying to add value to its products, Nintendo is now offering its Internet Channel for free, when in the past it has cost 500 Nintendo points.

To download the new Internet Channel, select ‘start’ at the lower right of the screen. This will take you to the Wii Shop Channel, where you can download the software.

For those who have previously purchased the Internet Channel for 500 Wii Points, a special offer will be available from late October until the end of December 2009. During this time period, you will be able to download a Virtual Console NES title worth 500 Nintendo Points for free.

When the exact time period for this offer is finalised, a notification will be sent out to you via the Wii Message Board.
