Fox App Comes To Windows Phones

Fox Sports Local, an app designed to help sports fans with venue location and information on the nation’s biggest sporting broadcasts, is now available on Windows Phone.
The app, which is now downloadable from Marketplace for Windows Phone, assists fans to find venues that are broadcasting Live sport via the Fox Sports channels.
Developed for Fox Sports by MNET with support from Microsoft and Nokia, the app features the latest information on game times and provides users with scores, news and stats on live matches. Once inside the venue, they can use the app to check-in via social media sites to alert friends to their location.
It also directs fans to venues showing popular Pay-Per-View events such as Live Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events and blockbuster international boxing events from around the globe.
Other features include:
- Exact locations, contact details and direction to venues
- Enables check-in to venues via social networks
- Live score updates on Fox Sports matches
- Fans can pin their favourite venues to their home screen to quickly access information about them
Only those venues that subscribe to the Fox Sports Venues service are featured in the app, which is free to download.
