The MacBook is a brand of notebook computers manufactured by Apple Inc. which arise out of the merger of the iBook and PowerBook lines when Apple transitioned to the use of Intel processors.

The MacBook family consists of the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. All three models feature a unibody aluminium construction which was first introduced with the MacBook Air. Furthermore, Apple MacBooks utilise a black keyboard that was inspired by the sunken keyboard of the original polycarbonate MacBooks.

But probably the most prominent and iconic trademark of the MacBook pro family is its glowing Apple logo at the back of the display. Although other laptop brands such as HP and Dell’s Alienware arm have tried to adapt the glowing logo in the design of their laptops, it was Apple who pioneered it.

So in this week’s edition of Fancy Fridays, we’ll feature the world famous MacBook logo and how people have tried to make it fancier and more interesting through the use of decals.
