According to the company’s CEO, Stephen Chapman, there was a well-publicised dissatisfaction from online shopping site users over rising seller fees, so FaceBuy’s affordable and low-risk model is definitely a much welcomed alternative.

At the moment, FaceBuy charges the seller once an item is sold at a flat rate of $2 (+30c transaction fee). The app has just recently been approved by Apple and is now available in the Australian app store. The company plans to release an Android version shortly and will have an international launch later this year.
