Epson expands home theatre line-up with HDR projectors
Epson is expanding its home theatre line-up with three new projectors that support playback of HDR content. The three new models – the EH-TW8300, the EH-W9300, and EH-TW9300W – are all and HDR ready, and able to output images as bright as 2,500 lumens. Epson says this makes them bright enough to watch in a well-lit room, with windows open.
All three models are capable of delivering contrast ratios up to 1,000,000:1, while the top-end model – the EH-TW9300W – adds in wireless connectivity. This is achieved through a second box referred to as the WiHD or WirelessHD transmitter that provides extra inputs independent of the main projector unit (pictured below). As such, Epson says this can give owners more flexibility when setting up and positioning the projector, and reduces the need for long cables or additional in-wall wiring.
