Three new handsets get the Jelly Bean treatment today – these are the Motorola Droid RAZR, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and the Sony Xperia J.

First one up is the Sony Xperia J which gets the 4.1 version of the Jelly Bean. The firmware update bears the 11.2.A.0.21 build number and updates the baseband as well. The update should reach Xperia J users today through the usual OTA method. However, users can also opt to use the wired method and update their devices using the PC companion.

Next on the list of Jelly Bean recipients are the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX. Both phones will get version 4.1.2. Moreover, a number of Moto software will be removed on both phones to be replaced by stock Android apps. These are the My Music, My Gallery, Weather, World Clock and MOTOCAST apps. They are going to be replaced by the standard Google Gallery app and Google Play Music app.

And being recipients of Jelly Bean, all three phones will experience enriched notifications and voice search, the addition of Google Now and of course Project Butter. For the Motorola phones, users can expect improved GPS signal lock in Google Maps as well as some enhancements in the camera app.
