The Venue was once a line of smartphones from Dell that ran on either Android or Windows Phone. However, poor sales and tough competition has pushed the Venue brand to the sidelines until Dell finally dropped the Venue line and stopped shipping smartphones.
The announcement was made by Dell’s VP of tablets and performance PCs Neil Hand at the company’s keynote in IDF. During the keynote, Hand showed off what appears to be an 8-inch tablet running the latest Windows 8.1 firmware on Intel’s newest Bay trail processors.
There are no additional information about the new Dell Venue with regards to specifications, configuration and pricing but the company plans to provide more details about the Venue on its October 2 event in New York.
