CBN media has teamed up with the prestigious fashion design school at Sydney TAFE to see how some of Australia's best and brightest designers can integrate runway fashion with technology.

We believe in the future of wearable technology, where innovation meets creativity. As multinational technology firms continue to invest in wearable technology, we asked ourselves what can we can do?!

These young designers are at the forefront of efforts to continually adapt and integrate technology into our lives.

The CyberThreads Fashion Meets Technology competition delivers national exposure to the entrants’ designs, with the winning design judged on the most effective, ground-breaking integration of fashion and technology. For this year's pilot event, the total cash prize pool up for grabs is $6000.

Seven promising designers from a field of over thirty were chosen to discuss their unique designs, how they were stretching the boundaries of fashion and technology and what technology they integrated into their lives. Their conceptual, artistic and practical development shows outstanding potential in the field of wearable technology.
