Bush Australia has launched what it hails to be Australia’s smallest full function digital video recorder, the Bush Mini BVR320FV.

The device is at just 260x195mm and has a 320 gigabyte hard disk. It also uses Freeview’s Electronic Program Guide (EPG) to record your favourite shows. This feature analyses live data to detect when a show actually starts and finishes, rather than trust the scheduled times. The device also enables users to play, pause and rewind live television.

The EPG also displays all shows coming up in the next seven days, and one touch recording means users simply select a program and the DVR does the rest. There is also Series Link to automatically detect and record set shows. You can also record two shows at the same time due to the integrated dual tuner.

“The amount of time people spend watching content recorded on a DVR has increased dramatically over the past year and so we are expecting to see continued growth in this category. The compact size of our latest model means it will fit right in to even the most minimalist lounge room,” says Daniel Todd, Managing Director, Bush Australia.

In addition, the device includes features such as a connect to TV via Component, Composite or HDMI video output; recorded video preview library; digital audio; automatic channel search; Ethernet port for network connectivity; teletext with subtitle; and remote control.

The Bush Mini Freeview 320GB EPG Digital Video Recorder is priced at $299.
