Online and content-sharing management service Box recently updated its Outlook plugin to extend its support to free Box account users.

The plugin allows users to manage attachments in their emails through the company’s cloud storage system. Instead of using traditional email attachments, the plugin will let users use shared links to Box as a replacement for attachments.

Moreover, Box will allow users to manage permissions and track who has accessed to a file. Existing attachments and other files users get from other people can also be converted into shared links on Box.

The plugin which was first made available to Box users with paid Business and Enterprise plans will now also be available to free users in a number of new languages including German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, French, Portuguese and Chinese to name a few.
