Ever since Edward Snowden’s expose about the NSA’s spying activities worldwide, has revived consumers’ concern issues about consumer security and anonymity online. And now manufacturers are paying attention to the development of devices that keeps its users out of sight of prying eyes.

One of two devices that offer such feature is the Boeing Black smartphone. Almost all the components of the smartphone is built for securely storing and transmitting data, specifically those from the US defense and security community.

The phone features a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, dual-SIM support, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, a 1590mAh battery and an unspecified version of Android.

Notable security features of the phone include disk encryption features, hardware root of trust, hardware crypto engine, embedded secure components, trusted platform modules and secure boot for safeguarding data. The phone also comes with a modular design, so users can modify the phone based on his need or liking.

No pricing and availability yet, and we’re not even sure if this phone will be offered to ordinary consumers just like Silent Circle’s BlackPhone.
