BlackBerry Messenger for Android may not have a good start the first time it tried to cross borders to Android and iOS but it doesn’t mean that it would just give up.

Word is the BlackBerry instant messaging app is just a few days away from its release to Android phones and iPhones worldwide. According to the company’s Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben in an interview with Reuters, the app is scheduled to hit Google Play and the Apple app store “within days”.

Moreover, the Canadian company also released yesterday a letter on its social media channels and in 30 newspapers all around the world about its assurance of continued service to its customers.

BBM for Android and iOS is expected to feature messaging and groups, with voice, screen share and video among others. Whether or not BlackBerry has added new features to the app during the time it was fixing the issues it had from the first launch date remains to be seen. Nevertheless, all should be revealed pretty soon.
